COAL INDUSTRY

         Information on the results of activities of enterprises in the field of coal mining is in the first half of 2017.

As a result of the first half of this year, as there was a period of activity of coal production enterprises, only 8 enterprises operated in accordance with urgent information, 540 thousand tons of coal were produced, which increased by 92.2 thousand tons in comparison with the same period last year. During the reporting period, 46.7% of the total volume of coal production is accounted by the individual company “Shakhta Von-Yaghnob”, 23% – by the Coal Development Department of LLC “Tajik Metallurgical Enterprise”, 21.5% – by Talco-Resurs LLC and 8.8% accounted for the rest of the enterprise.

The sale of coal for the reporting period, taking into account the past year, is 550,242 tons, including 64.2% – CHP (cogeneration plant), 31% in industrial enterprises, 4.3% in population and 0.3% in budgetary state enterprises.

Statistical data on the development of coal in January – June 2017 was in relation to the period of 2016.

The coal reserve in July of this year in coal storage facilities of coal processing enterprises, taking into account the past year, is 142.9 thousand tons. In fact, with the annual demand for coal in the social and economic sphere of the republic is 1.7-1.8 million tons, of which 53% are in the energy sector, 34.2% in industry, 10% in the population and 2.8 % are budget enterprises. Summing up the demand for coal-fired spheres shows that 82% of the volume of coal is planned, which is necessary to meet the demand in large enterprises of industry and energy.

Incomplete and untimely payment for coal from these large enterprises is the reason for debt in wages, taxes, debtors, as well as in the backlog of work on the development of coal beds.

In accordance with the urgent data, in the reporting period, 353.6 thousand tons of coal worth 83.8 million somoni were transported by the Dushanbe thermal power plant. The debts of the thermal power station to the coal mining enterprises in 2017 amounted to over 63 million somoni, only the debt of the industry and energy enterprises to the individual enterprise “Mine Von-Yaghnob” is over 55.8 million somoni, including the debt of the thermal power station – 43.2 million somoni , OJSC “Tajikt sement “- 2.9 million somoni and state joint enterprise TALCO – 2.2 million somoni. Taking into account the increased demand for the social and economic sphere of the republic, especially in the coal deposit “Von-Yagnob”, which developed 81.7% this year with operating enterprises in this mine, it is necessary to use new forces.

Regardless of the financial difficulties of production enterprises in the coal industry during the reporting period, the main direction for coal mining and timely provision in the social and economic sphere of the republic, from the branch enterprises, was the amount of 15.6 million somoni for 6 units of underground equipment and mine equipment, which provide an opportunity to provide 30 new jobs. Management is actively involved, in cooperation with other departments of the Office of the central apparatus of the Ministry of enterprises, institutions, organizations, agencies and local committees of the executive power of the Republic of Tajikistan.

At this point in the republic 19 enterprises in coal mining industry, which are active at the expense of 14 mines, which directly controls the management. The  strategy of development of coal industry in the Republic of Tajikistan will be Created on the basis of the introduction of inter-governmental, state and industry programs. Management in necessary situations immediately controls state enterprises of the coal industry, jointly monitors the activities of coal production enterprises and conducts geological exploration to find coal deposits. The management determines the volume of mining and development of coal in mines and borax, the need for coal mining and the necessary products from coal; the order is taken from the reliability of the loss and loss of coal and the uniform rules for keeping documents and storing them in accordance with the “Instruction for Accounting for the Development and Production of Coal in Mines and Borax”, ensuring their observance. Along with this, universities, institutes, centers for training and advanced training in the republic, which are related to this sphere, among them: the Mining College after S. Yusupov and state institutions that cooperate with the “Training Center for Retraining and Advanced Studies” staff of the Main Department of Geology under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan “, and with the necessary situation (shortage of teachers in this field) helps in the training of young cadres.
